1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using the Sales Tax / VAT Calculator (“the service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Description of the service
The service is a free, browser-based arithmetic utility that adds or removes a sales tax / VAT percentage from an amount you supply. It runs entirely on your device. It is provided “as is” and “as available”, without an account, subscription or fee.
3. Permitted use
- You may use the service for personal, educational or internal business purposes.
- You may not use it for any unlawful purpose, or to mislead anyone about a tax obligation.
- You may not attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse engineer for the purpose of harming others, scrape, or resell the service, nor remove any notice or attribution.
- You may not present outputs from the service as professional tax, legal or accounting advice.
4. Your content and responsibility
You are solely responsible for the amounts and rates you enter and for how you use the results. Tax rates, thresholds, exemptions, rounding rules and registration requirements vary by country, state and product category, and change over time. Always confirm the correct rate with the relevant tax authority or a qualified professional before filing, invoicing or paying.
5. Intellectual property
The HTML, CSS, JavaScript, text, layout and branding of this site are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Except for normal personal use, no part may be copied, redistributed or incorporated into another product without prior written permission.
6. Advertising and third-party content
The site may display advertising placeholders and, in future, advertisements served by third parties such as Google AdSense. We do not control advertisers’ content, links, products or data practices. Third-party links are provided for convenience; visiting them is at your own risk and is governed by the third party’s own terms and privacy policies.
7. No warranty
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and accuracy of results. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we and our contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or anticipated savings, arising out of or in connection with your use of — or inability to use — the service, including any error or omission in a calculated figure. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may modify these terms or the service at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date will be revised. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
11. Termination
We may suspend or discontinue the service, in whole or in part, at any time without notice. Because no data is stored on our servers, termination has no effect on data you may have copied from the tool.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, unless mandatory local consumer protection law in your jurisdiction provides otherwise. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rivers State, Nigeria.
